What is the difference between a PMB and a P.O. box?
A Post Office box (P.O. box) is a mailbox offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and is located at a USPS facility. Your address will have your designated conventional P.O. box number. A private mailbox (PMB) is a privately-owned mail center and offers a physical street address plus your designated box number.
What are the benefits of owning a PMB?
With a mailbox at Mail Room Plus, you get a real street address. A real street address can provide your business with a professional image. You are also not giving out your home address. With a PMB, you can receive parcels from online retailers who do not ship to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses. A P.O. box will receive postal mail but cannot accept packages, whereas PMB can accept parcels on your behalf from USPS and private carriers, such as FedEx and DHL, and hold them until you pick them up. With a P.O. box, the only way to know if you have mail in your box is to check it regularly. With a PMB, you can call in or opt to receive SMS and/or email notifications when you have mail and/or a package.

Packing & Shipping
Can I ship parcels via USPS, FedEx, or DHL?
Mail Room Plus offers USPS flat rate boxes in-store. The USPS limit for parcels is 70 lbs.
For private carriers, only documents below 1 lb will be accepted for shipping outside of their stores. Anything weighing 1 lb or more must be taken directly to the carrier’s facility for shipping.
